3. The Tale of a Very Loyal Dog

4. Once upon a time, in the town of Whakatane, lived a girl called Chloe. She lived with her mum and dad and her two brothers. She was happy, but she longed for a pet that she could call her own. This is Chloe

5. One day she found a little dog that needed somewhere to live. Her parents were not too happy because Chloe would soon be leaving home to go to university. “And who will look after the puppy when you’re gone?” asked her mum. But the little puppy came home with Chloe and she called him Frankie.

6. Chloe loved Frankie and Frankie loved Chloe. They did everything together. She walked him and played with him. She brushed him and fed him. And she even let him sleep in her bed. But then Chloe went off to university and she didn’t see Frankie for a very long time. And even though the family looked after Frankie, he still missed Chloe.

7. When Chloe came home for the holidays, Frankie had not forgotten her. He wagged his tail and followed her around. He even let her carry him around in her handbag! Frankie had not forgotten Chloe. He loved her just as much as ever. Frankie was a very loyal dog.

8. Frankie was loyal. Jesus wants us to be loyal too. Jesus wants us to be loyal to our friends He wants us to be loyal to our families He wants us to be loyal to God and the church

9. Let us say the Affirmation I am loyal to people I care about I am a good friend through good times and bad I am loyal to what I know is right I do not allow friendship to lead me into trouble.
