This document outlines the production plan for a music video for the band Across The Board. It assigns roles and responsibilities for filming, editing, and completing the project. It establishes a schedule with deadlines for completing pre-production, filming, editing, and evaluation. It also discusses time management, risk assessment, equipment needs, potential locations, and stylistic influences. The goal is to create a video that reflects the band's talent and artistic style through a narrative and live performance footage shot in multiple environments.

As there is only Rebecca and myself, it is going to be difficult to get everything
finished on time unless we specify what we do.
Jordane & Rebecca – Filming. We will both film from different angles, and film
different elements of the song. E.g. Whilst I film the band walking and lip
syncing, Rebecca films surrounding area.
Jordane - Lighting
Jordane & Rebecca – Putting the footage into order
Jordane – After effects editing. I am going to try and self-teach myself some
after effects editing, to add excitement to the video.
Rebecca – Transition and lighting editing.
3. Schedule
• Arrange final meeting with the band to finalise ideas and filming dates by
19th November.
• Complete Digipak and advert by 19th November
• Start filming by 29th November
• Finish filming by 17th December
• Complete editing by 4th February
• Complete evaluation by 4th March
TIME MANAGEMENT
In order manage our time, it is important that we keep up to date with our
deadlines and on top of all pre production work.
If we miss deadlines, it is important that we alter our plans and make sure we
know why we didn’t meet them.
4. Risk assessment
Get permission if necessary. As we are filming in woodland, we may need permission to be on the land.
Safety of location. Filming near the sea front could be dangerous.
Be aware of equipment theft.
When filming, be sure you have the contact details of all involved.
Assess possible risks at each location, look for anything that could harm you or others around.
Ensure that the weather condition is suitable, be sure that it is appropriate conditions for you, others or equipment.
Equipment needed
Software: Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe After Effects
Hardware:
Digital Video Camera
5. Location, location, location
We are planning to shoot our music video footage in a number of
different locations;
Woodland / forests
Beach / sea front
City / street
9. Summary
of production
Our proposal is too create a representation of the band which reflects their talent
and their artistic side.
Our music video for the song 'Matches' is going to follow a narrative of the artists
'finding their way back home' (quote from the lyrics) as well as some live
performance footage.
We are going to use a mix of close ups and medium close ups. We want to use the
conventions of close ups of the artists playing their instruments, more than them
themselves, and close ups of the front man.
We are going to use fireworks/sparklers/Catherine wheels and of course matches,
to represent the 'fire' of the song.
We are going to try and film in 3 or more different areas, to make the video artistic
and engaging.
We want to film in woodland/street/city/beach. We are planning to self teach
some After Effects techniques to make the music video appear professional and
even more artistic.
