2. Process
The first steps in Video Game production is to first load up Photoshop and select the
presets for the width and height for your own game. Video Games are a special
subject to work on as the possibilities for them are endless, anything can be as

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– My plan for my game production is to have it in horizontal
layout rather than vertical like a mobile game. One of my
initial ideas was to do a vertical first person shooter game
to be played on IOS and android systems, I thought this
would be very unique at the time but turned out to be very
difficult to execute in practise.

4. Process
Starting by simply colouring parts of the background i made my scene by
using representative colours of a bright day at the beach, my plan is for
this to be the main menu of my video game experiment and the start up
screen is just the tides going up and down with the sun setting and moon
rising

5. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include
in your final product?
• I hope to also include a Main or pause menu in my
final project, it is more likely to be the latter as that
can fit in right at any point in my animation.
• The method of designing the background for my
game before any other layers will be smart for my
product as it is good for comparing the sizes of other
layers.

6. Process
Further in production, i added a few more
layers to give my video game a bit of life
this included seagulls, stars, the sun, the
moon, waves, and even a tiny flag on a
sandcastle. My animation skills are quite
amateur considering i have done this
project a year prior however i am slowly
making my way to being complete with
the animation.
The last thing to do before exporting my
video was to enlarge the image to
increase the quality, this also coincidently
helped in mixing some colours into others
like the blue and white on the waves.

7. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• Giving my video game a lot of detail is very
important to me as when i see the amount of
dedication and work went into a game that makes it
all the more enjoyable. Thus i will really try with my
work to make it entertaining and fun to as many
players as i can without spending too much time on
certain areas.
