New York City is made up of 5 boroughs and over 8 million inhabitants. Manhattan is the most famous borough where most tourists visit and spend time. With three nearby airports, train stations, and ports, over 55 million tourists visit NYC each year, making it one of the top tourist destinations worldwide. Transportation within NYC relies heavily on subways, buses, taxis, and ferries since Manhattan is an island and distances are too far to walk. Manhattan's street grid makes navigation straightforward, while skyscrapers dominate the skyline and offer amazing views from their observation decks. NYC offers a variety of cuisines, street food, shopping, Broadway shows, museums, and parks both large and small.
