Things to avoid during the wrapping process of loads on pallets
1. A S P E C T S t o AVOID
during the wrapping process of pallets
and “fast-first-aid”… by José-Luis
#1- Adhesive face of the film on the external side of pallet
• Invert the position of the reel in the pre-stretch head
#2- Initial/final “tails of film”
• Film Tail system (initial set up/weld-cut) is not working properly
#3- “Damaged corners” on the secondary packaging
• The proportion between %F1 vs. %F2 must be adjusted according to the
kind/fragility of the load
#4- “Pyramid effect” on pallet
• See point #3 + Assess the slenderness grade of the load (max 2)
#5- “Tiger – bands” on film
• Slippage of film between the pre-stretch rolls. Assess % of slippage R1 vs. R2
• Minimize its effect and coordinate with F1+F2+accceleration ramps in variators
#6- Load “slips” on the pallet
• Lost of vertical force vectors. Does the film wraps 3-4cm of the pallet?
#7- Film lies on the load “without tension”
• Very slow turning speed of the pallet (or pre-stretch head)
• Coordinate it with the pre-stretch level and acceleration ramps of variators
