Over the next few minutes we’ll let you see how our performance dashboard application, Arum DataEye®, solves operational problems and brings benefits to collections operations.
We don’t need to spend long talking about these typical Management Information problems. For example, data has to be gathered from many different systems, it always tells the story after the event, it ties up valuable time and it tells you what has gone wrong, not what you could be doing better.
Take this scenario. The operations manager, Claudia, is busy preparing for a meeting, doing her own information management, when a text comes in from DataEye to say that the day’s Payments targets are not being met.
Claudia opens up DataEye in her web browser and, sure enough, gets a red light indication on her high level operational view.
A look at the real time chart shows her that, while the day seemed to start ok, the value of payments collected has started to drop against target.
Probing a bit further, she quickly sees that teams 1, 2 and 3 are doing ok, but team 4 is lagging behind. Some action should be taken. She checks with the team supervisor, Lembit, and discovers that 2 of the team, recently back from a training course, have been asked to share some of their new knowledge with 3 colleagues. This is clearly having an impact on the collection performance of the team. Claudia asks Lembit to rearrange the knowledge sharing session until later.
Half an hour later, the operational change is having an impact and payments are recovering towards target.
Claudia can relax and get back to some real information management.
