2. Setting up the Wii 2 GameCube controllers to be used for SSB tournament play Wii’s sensor bar Wii gaming console GameCube’s Super Smash Brothers game disc AV chords (red/yellow/white ends that go into TV/projector Wii remote (Wii-mote) Wii’s power plug
3. Setting up the Wii Plug one end of power chord into back of Wii, and one end in wall. Plug one end of AV chord into back of Wii, and other end (red/yellow/white) into back of TV/projector Plug sensor bar into orange slot on back of Wii, and place the sensor bar on top of TV or on top of projector cart. (this will only be needed to start game up)
4. Setting up the Wii Insert SSB game disc into Wii (facing away from power and reset buttons) Flip open top cover of Wii and insert two controller plugs into top of Wii ** After you connect all pieces to the console, lay the machine on its broad side (side with little rubber-ish feet) to help prevent players from knocking the machine over and damaging the equipment !!!
5. Starting the Game You will need one Wii remote controller (Wii-mote) to choose game. Standing about 5 ft. behind wireless sensor bar, point to the “BRAWL” icon in top left corner and press “A” on Wii-mote. Now point to the “Start” button on lower right corner and press “A”. You can now put the Wii-mote away, as you will only use the Gamecube controllers from now on.
6. Starting the Game The GameCube controllers will be used from now on. Grab a GameCube controller and select the “ Group ” mode by highlighting it and pressing “A” Now you will set the rules for the tournament. Select the “ Rules ” by highlighting it and pressing “A”.
7. Be sure the “Rules” are set to these specific settings: Rules = STOCK Stock = 03 Handicap = OFF Damage Ratio = 1.0 Stage Selection = RANDOM Be sure it is set to “MED” for medium, and all items should be “ON”. Stock Time Limit = Infinity Team Attack = OFF Pause = ON Score Display = OFF Damage Gauge = ON
8. Rules are set. Now choose “BRAWL” from that main screen to move to character selection. Choose characters with joystick. Press “Start”. Board will be chosen by computer at random. READY TO PLAY! ***When you get to the end of a game, each new player will hit the start key on their controller. The next screen will be the characters. Once new characters are chosen, one of the players will hit the start key again on the controller, and they will be starting the next round.
