Tilaok, who is always proud of his voice, wanted to
please the fox.
So he flew down from the roof of the barn to where
the fox was.
Suddenly, the fox bit Tilaok’s neck and ran into the
woods.
Once, there was a rooster named Tilaok who lived on
top of barn.
One morning, a fox came. He asked Tilaok to come
down so he could hear the rooster’s sweet voice.
Tilaok felt sad and wished he had not been foolish and
vain.
11. The Fox and the Goat
“I’m warning you, goat,” snarled the fox. “This is my water!
Go away.”
The fox jumped on the goat’s back and leaped out of the
well. He ran off without a care for the goat who was
stuck in the well.
One day, a fox fell down a well. He tried to climb out, but
the well was too deep.
“You can’t keep all the water for yourself,” the goat snorted.
The goat jumped in the well.
A goat wandered by. He peered down curiously. “What are
you doing in a well?” asked the goat
