to the system I prefer it over other systems of hard copy forms. The system has a well thought out template
format with many drop down options to populate each field. This simplifies the request process for workers
in the field who may not have the resources of a formal office. The archive part of the system allows for easy

review of past inspections. The system seemed to streamline the individual field inspectors work allowing
them to make inputs and adjustments in a more fluid way during the inspection processes. I believe that
the system allows for better tracking of deviations and related corrections. This has proven very helpful to

"At the time I worked with Jim Burlew we were both part of MALS 16. He was an NDI Technician and I
was a hydraulic mechanic. We also deployed together on the USS Essex. During that time, Jim was a highly
professional Marine that always made sure work came first and the mission was accomplished. Either in
CONUS or while deployed he would report to work early to see what the coming day had in store and get
it done as soon as possible to support the flight schedule. He worked with outside units to make sure their
inspections would be completed prior to their flight schedule. This was not always easy as every squadron
wanted their inspections done first, but he was able to prioritize them and make sure that all units had their
