 Asking questions is one of the best ways to
  get help
 Don’t think you’re too good to ask for
  help, or be nervous
 If you’re not with your teacher at the
time, write down the question to ask later.

“Other students are too confident in
their own abilities and need to get
their pride in check.” Coach P
 Getting help is never a bad thing
 Ask for help at the appropriate time
While you ask questions….
What you think happens.. What actually happens..
 In our research we found that most people
don’t even listen to the questions others ask.
 You should listen when others ask questions
  so you can benefit too
Do you pay attention to questions
  that others ask during class?

                         No

                         Yes

                         Sometimes if I am
                         confused also
 Most people don’t judge you if you ask a
  serious question.
 But on the other hand pointless questions
are annoying to others and create
  judgment.
 “They are scared of being judged by
  peers, or teacher.” Mrs. Gregerson
 “They don’t want to look stupid around
  their peers.” Mr. Wilson
 Asking non credible questions over and over
  is disruptive
 Only ask quality questions
 Don’t ask questions to waste time
What do you think of people when they ask
           questions in class?

                              Annoyed if trying to
                              be funny

                              Looking for help

                              Happy cause they
                              had the same
                              question
                              Don't care
 Teachers are always there to help you
                      Positive reinforcement
 Providing time each day for
                       questions and answers
                      Letting students realize
                       that asking questions is the
                       best way to learn
                      Establishing relationship
                       with students is vital to
                       being comfortable
 After the teacher has gone over the lesson
 Outside of class when your teacher is not
  busy
 Ask your teacher when their off period is
 “My favorite questions are those that come
during a lecture portion that makes everyone
  think deeper.” Mrs. Gregerson
 Keep your future in mind while asking
  questions…..
 Will this help me?
 “Students who ask questions are more likely
to maximize their potential.” Coach P
