product and why?

2. How my product would be
created?
S To start the production of my magazine I would
collect together ideas of what could be in the
magazine. I would then research into these ideas
and decide which was the best. After finalising my
idea I think is the best, I would draw out a flat plan
to see visually what it would look like. I would then
write my article for my double page spread.
Following the flat plans I would go find which
models would be most appropriate for my genre
and look. After this I would then go and shoot the
images of my models in the appropriate costumes,
location etc. This would then be followed by the
making & editing of my magazine.

3. A distributors role.
S A distributors role in a magazine production is
to work on behalf of a magazine publisher.
Each distributor has many publishers and
their main role is to provide the market &
clients for the publisher.

4. What company would
distribute your product? Why?
IPCMEDIA:
I looked into ipcmedia at the magazines that this company already
distribute and this would company would be ideal to distribute my
magazine because there isn’t a pop magazine already although there is
gossip and music magazines mine combines both of these so therefore
there would be a gap in the market for mine, which will bring a whole new
audience in.. As you can see below there isn’t many music magazines
already distributed by IPCMEDIA apart from NME and Uncut, which both of
these are under the genre of rock.

5. What company would
distribute your product? Why?
BAUER:
I then looked at another distributor called Bauer. This distributor doesn’t have as
many products as another distributor like IPCMEDIA. I look through to see what
they already distributed and I couldn’t find that they already distributed any
magazines similar to mine, meaning there was no pop magazines. Therefore
there is a big gap in the market which my magazine can fit. This will then bring in
a whole new audience for this distributor because if there is no magazines in the
pop genre, all the audience of pop will follow. As you can see below there is some
examples of the magazines Bauer distribute and there is a few music magazines
and but not pop.

6. What company would
distribute your product? Why?
Condenast
After looking into Condenast I found out they don’t distribute any music
magazines, therefore there is a big gap in the market because there is nothing
similar to my magazine so this would benefit them quite a bit because it would
bring in a whole new audience and therefore this will bring in money for them.

7. Advertisement of my product.
I created a board on Pinterest to show different ways in which
my magazine would be advertised. Below are the pins that I
placed.

8. Product distribution!
My Product will be distributed not only
through shops but also online monthly
subscriptions, phone subscriptions and
getting it sent to their house at the same
time every month.
