2. Identify the physical and behavioral characteristics of selected species

3. Work in a group to suggest solutions to the problem

5. Discuss with the class what adaptions could help the selected animal improve it’s chance for survival.

6. Have studnets work in groups to follow the same proceudre

7. Select an animal

8. Research the animal using books, magazines, reference materials, and the internet to learn about the animal

9. Identify its characteristics

10. Divide the research into the following categories

11. Physical features

12. Behaviors

13. Habitat

14. Reproduction

15. Diet

16. Factors causing endangerment

17. Discuss with students techniques to adapt the animal

18. Have studnets create and present a multimedia presentation about the animal they chose

19. Students present their presentation to class

20. Classmates as well as teacher will evaluate presentations Example : Tying it all together : Once the students have had sufficent time to complete the activity, have them share their results. Solicit suggestions and comments from the class to help further the adaptations suggested for each animal.
