wage war with easy access to the other
powerful nations in Europe, it has Spain
to the direct west , Germany to the east,
and England to the North
 France first arrived with warfare in the
Hundred Years War (1337-1453) followed
by the French Revolution in the 1700’s
 The Napoleonic Wars followed and
concluded with a bitter ending for the
French
 After that there was World War I (1914-
1918) and World War II (1939-1945), in
each France was conquered by Germany
and saved by the Americans at the last
minute.
