American Security (“UAS”), are pleased to announce the acquisition of Sheppard Detective System, Inc.
(“Sheppard” or the “Company”).
Sheppard is a provider of unarmed security guard services to a variety of industries, including sites,
hospitals, condominiums, schools, hotels, hospitals and retail facilities. The Company serves the greater
Philadelphia area and is regarded as one of the top security providers in the region. Sheppard’s guards
have developed an outstanding reputation for customer service and responsiveness.
Sheppard is the fifth acquisition by UAS since its formation in April 2010 and expands the platform’s
geographic reach and service capabilities in the Philadelphia and southern New Jersey markets. UAS
management expects to achieve significant cost savings by consolidating the operations of Sheppard
into the larger UAS platform. “Adding Sheppard to our platform, gives us a stronger presence in
Philadelphia and southern New Jersey, and will allow us to better serve our clients as the premier
security services provider in the region,” stated Steve Frost, CEO of UAS.
