Los Quinchos is aware that working children and their families have different prob-

can work and still go to class. Teachers make special efforts to involve moms and
dads in their children’s education. The school offers a meal program because the We welcome everyone to this time together in worship. We gather in this church in

Leader: We gather around this table where we break bread together re-

own loaf if we are to make a difference for one another.

All: We gather around this table where we receive the cup in the name of
Christ in hope for all that is yet to be and God’s eternal promises to us.

Leader: We give thanks on this anniversary Sunday for that burning love of
God that promises never to let us go regardless of what we make of our
lives or what our lives make of us.

All: We dedicate our candle this anniversary day to the heritage that is
contained in the memories of all who worship in this place.

Leader: We dedicate our candle again to all that God still calls us to be if
we are to be the true blessing to one another God hopes us to be.

All: We dedicate our candle to God’s eternal metaphor that we should be
a Light to the Nations by becoming a light to one another in faith, hope
and love.

  • 1. MINUTE FOR MISSON Many children don’t get an education. Sometimes, it’s because they are poor, and without schooling they may continue to live in poverty. Mission and Service part- ners are working to make sure kids learn. Order of Worship for In Managua, Nicaragua, many children support their families by working as street sellers. Sometimes, they also live on the streets. Sometimes, they are helping to earn OROMOCTO UNITED money because their parents can’t find enough work to look after their family. Our CHURCH Mission and Service partner, Los Quinchos School, gives an education and job train- ing to 900 such children—children who would otherwise not be able to go to school. Los Quinchos is aware that working children and their families have different prob- lems and needs than regular families. The school has flexible schedules so that kids can work and still go to class. Teachers make special efforts to involve moms and dads in their children’s education. The school offers a meal program because the We welcome everyone to this time together in worship.
