13. She created the Underground Railroad Slaves were led to Canada and overseas

16. They used the North Star to navigate

17. This was dangerous

18. If caught, slaves could be killed

19. So could those who helped them

20. This didn’t matter much to Harriet- She was the Moses of her people

21. To keep the secret network safe Everyone was only told one piece of the puzzle

22. They had some powerful help The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) The Congregationalists The Wesleyans

23. In the end: Official statistics say 6000 fled Other reports say 100,000 by 1850 alone Way to go Harriet!!!!
