   Policy
   Day 1 Orientation
How     many of you were bumped by a
    classmate because he was running?
How    many of you met an accident
    because you were running?
   Teachers: You may opt to have this as your springboard or the video.
Objectives:
provide a free flow of traffic along designated
areas in the campus before the start of
classes, during break and dismissal
times, and in between periods;
make sure that students and adult personnel
are safe and secure when going to the
different places in the campus

 Covered Walk
 Pathways
 Ramps

 Function Rooms (MPC, Lecture Hall, EED   MPH
 Chapel
 Staircases
Walking Zone Policy
   walk all the time
 always keep right when walking along
 designated areas
 read, understand and follow the meaning
 of symbols and signage to always place
 safety above all
Walking Zone Symbols
   Parking
        Areas where you place
        your bags during an
        assembly, when you
        are using the library
        after classes in the
        afternoon or during
        dismissal while waiting
        for your fetcher
       This is to avoid bags
        scattered along the
        Walk Zone Areas.

speak   of our history and culture
help us remember the legacy of our
 forefathers
bring pride to our person and a sense

   Upon the announcement of national anthem…
 stand properly
 place your right hand over yourleft chest
 face the flag
 remain standing with your right hand over your left chest until
 the completion of the anthem
 once the anthem is complete, quietly return to your normal
 position
How should we show respect to
    these symbols?
Upon the announcement of national
anthem…
 face the music if the flag is not displayed and act in
 the same manner as if it were displayed
 if you are walking or otherwise moving when the
 anthem begins or hear the beginning of the anthem,
 stop and stand still until it ends
How should we show respect to

   Upon the announcement of flag retreat…
 stand properly
 face the flag or music (if the flag is not visible)

 remain standing until the completion of the song or rite

 once the song or rite is complete, quietly return to your
 normal position

 face the flag and stand properly
 raise your right hand (as much as possible shoulder level
 and palm flatly opened)
 remain in this position until the completion of the
 recitation of PanatangMakabayan, and quietly return to
 normal position after

Upon the announcement of the singing of
the school song…
 stand properly
 face the flag
 remain standing until the completion of the school song
 once the school song is complete, quietly return to your
 normal position
How shouldyoushow respect to these
 symbols if you are a foreigner?
For the singing of the national anthem and
 school song, reciting of the patriotic oath and
 participating in flag retreat
  stand properly
  face the flag (national or school) / music
  remain standing until the completion of thenational anthem (for
  the school song you have the duty to sing it), rite, oath
  once the song/riteis complete, quietly return to your normal
  posit

What can you do to ensure that the walking zone policy and

            Take the Walk and Respect for Symbols Pledge
    We, the students of Grade ___ section ___ pledge to follow the WALKING
    ZONE POLICY of Xavier School as one way to ensure our safety andthat of
                        our fellow Xaverians in the campus.
  We also pledge to serve as good examples to our fellow students in showing
       respect to our national and school symbols as a sign of being a true
                               Xaverianand Filipino.

Walk Zone Policy and Respect for Symbols

  • 1. Walking Zone Policy Day 1 Orientation
