Started out as a 4-H and Ag Agent in Macon County GA - where I worked with about 35 Dairies, most of them were owned by Menonites and averaged about 100 cows. Then Mastock came in with their first 1200 cow dairy in the SE in around 1988. A couple years later, I moved to NC and worked as a Livestock and Diary agent for 6 years. In 1995, NC created some positions to teach the agents, secretaries and other staff in the counties how to better use the technology and I took one of those positions. When I was an ag agent, I'd been doing this for the agents in the surrounding counties - with selfish motives - the more they knew, the more likely they would develop something that could help me.
