Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge
1. Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge
1 lb of powdered sugar
2 sticks salted butter (not knock off butter, either)
2 bags of Kroger brand mini semi sweet chocolate chips
1 bag chopped hazelnuts
1 can condensed sweetened milk
In a non-stick sauce pan, put condensed milk, powdered sugar, and butter. Do
not chop up the butter. Wait until the mixture is simmering, stirring constantly.
Add 1-1/2 bags of chocolate chips, and stir constantly until they are completely
melted. Do not stir around. Stir "up and over". The mixture will thicken quickly,
but continue to do this for about 3-5 minutes until mixture is smooth.
Take off heat, and stir in hazelnuts. Pour mixture into 9"x11" non-stick square
casserole dish (or aluminum disposable pan lined with wax paper). Sprinkle
remainder of chocolate chips on top, and refrigerate, covered, for two-and a half
to three hours. Cut into 3/4"x3/4" squares. Keep in air-tight container,
unrefrigerated.
