campuses, and districts determine their progress
towards meeting the goals of the Long-Range Plan
for Technology
A resource tool to assist Texas teachers in self-

Texas Teachers must complete the survey online
annually
Teachers can use the profile to gauge their
progress in integrating technology into teaching and
learning
Campus and district summary data can be reported
to school boards, community groups, and
technology planning committees
Statewide summary data is reported to state and
federal policy makers

The goal is for every teacher and campus in the
state of Texas to reach Target Tech
In order to reach this goal teachers are going to
have to use the STaR chart to assess their needs
and set goals for the use of technology in the
classroom to support student achievement
As teachers, our goal should be to become
technology literate and integrate technology into
content area across the curriculum
