Gerald has been our longest serving guitar instructor since 2006. He is the Guitar Music
Teacher in Weston. Gerald teaches acoustic, electric, bass & classical guitar classes. He is
originally from Cuba and is completely bi-lingual in English & Spanish. Gerald studied at
Miami-Dade College with a specialty in sound engineering & recording. He is also a
professional musician with a musical focus on Blues & Funk and recently joined the band
"Kayey".
Juan has been our drum and percussion instructor since 2007. He is the Drum Music Teacher
in Weston. Originally from Columbia, Juan began his studies at their National Conservatory of
Music. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University del Bosque de
Columbia. Juan furthered his music education at the Sonarte School of Music focusing on
advanced drums and ensembles. He also received a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance in
Buenos Aires at the Conservatorio de MPB de Curitiba, where he also taught and performed. He
also spent time in Argentina studying at EMBA Escuela de Musica & Universidad de
Avellaneda, teaching and performing. Juan then studied Latin & African percussion in Curitiba
& Salvador Bahia, Brazil. He has performed as a professional musician on Royal Caribbean
cruises before joining Jammin' Kids. Juan is also the founder of our Garage Band ensemble
program and serves as our Academy Manager & Music Director. He also performs
professionally.
