There are some problems associated with their use. Some of the most common problems include:
- 3. 1. No Sound At All This problem could be the result of several issues. One, the battery may be worn out. If this is the case, it is time for a battery replacement. Two, the sound outlet may be clogged. To fix this problem, clean the sound outlet or change the wax filter. Finally, the microphone opening may also be clogged. If this is the cause of the problem, clean the microphone opening with a toothbrush.
- 4. 2. Distorted Sound Distorted sound is usually a sign that your hearing aid’s battery needs cleaning. Specifically, check that the battery is not dirty or corroded. If it is corroded, simply replace the battery. If the problem persists, see your hearing care professional.
