Setting Rightat the start we hearmultiple helicoptersflyingcloserandcloserastheybegin
to getlouderandlouder.Duringthisintense guitarmusicbeginsin the background,
nextthe helicopterslandandpeople begintorunup towardsthem.Justafterwe
hearpeople getoutof the helicopterwiththe soundof chainsrattlingsuggesting
that theyare prisoners.Afterwe startto hearexplosionsthatare a distance away
fromthe scene happening.We thenhearlotsof people walkingwiththe chain
rattlingstill present.Thenwe hearambientsound,echoedfootstepsandpapers
beingthrownaround.Finallywe hearmore echoedfootstepsandthe soundof the
chainsbeingtakenoff.
The helicoptersoundscouldhave eitherbeen
fieldrecordedorcreatedbya Foleyartist.The
musicinthe backgroundcouldhave alsobeen
fieldrecordedoritmay have beencreatedusinga
MIDI instrumentwiththe correctsoftware.I
believethatthe explosionswouldhave been
createdby a Foleyartistdue tohow crispthey
soundand fieldrecordinganexplosion isquite
difficulttodo.The footsteps,the chainsandthe
papersbeingthrowncouldeitherhave been
createdby a Foleyartistor fieldrecorded.Finally
the echoedfootstepswouldhave beena
manipulationof the original.
Mood The music at the beginningsuggeststhatthe moodisquite tense butalsogetsthe
playerpumpedupforwhat isaboutto happen.The explosionssignifythat the
moodhas nowbecome aggressive andwill be more violent.The chainsrattling
representthe feelingof beingtrapped,weakandhelpless.The papersbeingthrown
aboutsuggestthat the persondoingitisfrustrated,angryor maybe evenina hurry.

howall of these soundswere recorded.
Game genre From the soundsthatwe hear(Helicopters,chains,explosions) we canassume that
the game isgoingto basedaroundwar and shootingjustfromthe opening2
minutesof the game.

soundswere recorded/produced.
Narrative Duringthe dialogue we learnaboutthe maincharacter andthat he usedtobe a
well-respectedmaninthe armybut hasbecome like awar monger.
The dialogue wouldhave beenstudiorecordedin
the correct conditionsandeverycharactermay
have had to dotheirlinesrepeatedlyandthen
theywouldchoose whichone soundedthe best
