       TOTAL 70 Acres 64,46,500
WATER SUPPLY:
Domestic water required per head per day as per National Building Code 2005, Table 1, Part 9, and P
19, Plumbing services:

a) Residential : 150 Litres

b) Commercial : 45 Litres

c) Institutional : 45 Litres

d) Factories/IT parks

With no Bathroom : 30 Litres

Total Water requirement:

a) Residential : 4400x150 = 6, 60,000 Litres or 660 KL

b) Commercial & Institutional

(6200+840+30000=37040) : 37000X45 = 16, 65,000 Litres or 1665 KL

Say: 37,000

c) IT parks

With no Bathroom : 7200X30 = 2, 16,000 Litres or 216 KL
_____________

2541 KL

Say : 2550 KL

In addition to daily domestic requirement water will be required for Horticultural proposes considering
20% green area – 14 acres

Water required for Horticultural : 14 X 28000 = 3,92,000 Litres or 392 KL

Grand Total : 2550+392 = 2942 KL Say: 2950 KL

Sources of water : Three Sources of water are considered as under:

City Supply from Govt./Local Authority.
Development of deep Tube wells at site.
Recirculation of treated sewerage effluent after Tertiary treatment of Horticultural & Flushing proposes
for urinals and water closets.
City supply will be supplying water to the complex when it is available from the local authorities.
Development or Tube well : A detail Geophysical survey of the site was got5 done through M/s The
reliable water supply Service of India (P) Ltd. new Delhi at there different point. The water / Aquifer is
available 27-65 Mtr. Depth with expected field of 1000-12000 LPH (Report Attach). Considering a
discharge of 10,000 – 12,000 Litres/hr and working for 12 hr. per day.

            Expected discharge for one tube well : 12000 x 12 = 1,44,000 Litres or 180 KL

            Number of tube well of required : 2950 / 144 = 20.48 Nos.

Available water from Horticultural & flushing purpose.

               C) Recirculation of Sewerage Effluent : 80% of water supply will flow as Sewerage.

            = 0.80 x 2550 KL = 2040 KL Say : 2040 KL

            Horticultural water required per day

            Flushing water required per day:

            a) Residential flushing requirement = 4400 x 50 Litres/head/day = 220 KL

            b) Commercial Flushing requirement = 42465 x 15 Litres/head/day = 637 KL

            c) IT Park flushing requirement = 7200 x 15 Litres/head/day = 108 KL
            _________________

            1357 KL
            _____________________

            Say : 1360 KL

Balance treated sewage effluent will be recharge to Ground

= 2040 - 1360 = 680 KL

Therefore actual no. of Tube wells required = (2250-1360) = 1190 Nos. 1190 say 8.26 Nos.
________

            144

Provide 20% as stand by = 8.26 + 1.65 = 9.81 say : 10 Nos.

Total No. of Tube wells required: 10 Nos. Till city supply 9s available at full development of site.

STORM WATER DRAINAGE:
The total rainfall in the area as per table 1 rainfall data from major cities by Indian metrological
Development is 794 mm as per Rain Water Harvesting and Conservation manual.

Total rain water based on anove basis per year considering 80% of rainfall recharging the ground water
table.

X 40000 X 0.794 X 0.90 = 2,00,088 KL per year

This rain water is completely recharged to ground water by providing 20-25 rain water harvesting well,
each rain water harvesting well will cover an area of approximately 3 acres.

Total recharge from rain water per year = 2, 00,088 KL

Sewerage treatment plant effluent

Recharged to ground water per year = 365 X 680 = 2, 48,200 KL
________________________

4, 48,288 KL
__________________________

Say : 4, 50,000 KL

Total water withdrawal from ground water by developing tube wells per year

= 1190 X 365 = 4, 34,350 KL

Thus there is no effect on Ground water table in the area as water recharge and withdrawal are almost
equal. Detail of Rain Harvesting well and sewage treatment plant are attached.

RAIN HARVESTING WELLS

The total site of 70 acres will be divided into small pockets varying from 2.5-4 acres depending upon
layout. Each pocket will have independent harvesting well. The rain water from roofs will be taken
down through vertical stacks. The sizing will be as per national Building Code Table No. 28 part -9
Section 2 Pages -70. The vertical drain pipe will be connected to manhole at ground level. Manhole
will be interconnected and finally taken to harvesting well. A desilting chamber will be provided to
desilt and remove floating material through bar screen. The overflow will lead to chamber having filter
media of coarse sand 1.5 to 2mm. Gravel 5-10 mm and boulders 5-20mm with minimum 300mm thick
each layer/ One deep bore up to sub soil water table will be drilled and 160mm PVC 3mm perforated
pipe will be installed up to sub soil water table with P – Gravel around the pipe. The solid pipe will be
provided between filtering media and ground level to clean in case of blockage through Air
Compressor etc. The schematic diagram is attached.

Working of Sewerage Treatment Plant:
The complex will be decided into four – five zones and sewage under ground plants will be on 80% of
water supply rate. . Incoming sewage is at a level of 4-5m depth from ground. This is collected in an
incoming sump which has a screen fixed at the entry of the sump. A cat ladder and manhole is provided
for maintenance point of view. Two automatic sewage submersible pumps are provided to lift the liquid
to grease chamber and then to tube settler system with level control or ensuring automatic operation.
And than to aeration tank the sewage undergoes aeration and subsequent attached growth. This results
in increased aerobic suspended growth and attached growth systems. From aeration tank the effluent
over floors to clarifier for setting solid & the tanked effluent to tank and than pumped to filter.

Sewerage is collected in an incoming sump which has a screen fixed at the entry of the sump. A cat
ladder and manhcle is provided for maintenance point of view. Two automatic sewage submersible
pumps are provided to transport liquid to the bio-reactor system with level control for ensuring
automatic operation. The incoming sewage is lifted to the bio- reactor system.

Further treatment in the form of Tertiary treatment through Filter Vessels is done. Before feeding water
to Filter vessels, slight dose of chlorine is added to stream and water is passed on the twin set off
aesthetically designed Pressure sand filter and Activated Carbon filter.

Whereas Pressure Sand filter removes very fine suspended particles in the Discharge Stream, Activated
Carbon Filter removes traces of any impurity as well as any dour or colour inherent in the stream. BOD
and COD of water is further reduced during filtration. Water after Tertiary Treatment is fit for use for
flushing water for water closets, irrigation in kitchen gardens, lawns for Horticulture purposes.

  • 4. The total rainfall in the area as per table 1 rainfall data from major cities by Indian metrological Development is 794 mm as per Rain Water Harvesting and Conservation manual. Total rain water based on anove basis per year considering 80% of rainfall recharging the ground water table. X 40000 X 0.794 X 0.90 = 2,00,088 KL per year This rain water is completely recharged to ground water by providing 20-25 rain water harvesting well, each rain water harvesting well will cover an area of approximately 3 acres. Total recharge from rain water per year = 2, 00,088 KL Sewerage treatment plant effluent Recharged to ground water per year = 365 X 680 = 2, 48,200 KL ________________________ 4, 48,288 KL __________________________ Say : 4, 50,000 KL Total water withdrawal from ground water by developing tube wells per year = 1190 X 365 = 4, 34,350 KL Thus there is no effect on Ground water table in the area as water recharge and withdrawal are almost equal. Detail of Rain Harvesting well and sewage treatment plant are attached. RAIN HARVESTING WELLS The total site of 70 acres will be divided into small pockets varying from 2.5-4 acres depending upon layout. Each pocket will have independent harvesting well. The rain water from roofs will be taken down through vertical stacks. The sizing will be as per national Building Code Table No. 28 part -9 Section 2 Pages -70. The vertical drain pipe will be connected to manhole at ground level. Manhole will be interconnected and finally taken to harvesting well. A desilting chamber will be provided to desilt and remove floating material through bar screen. The overflow will lead to chamber having filter media of coarse sand 1.5 to 2mm. Gravel 5-10 mm and boulders 5-20mm with minimum 300mm thick each layer/ One deep bore up to sub soil water table will be drilled and 160mm PVC 3mm perforated pipe will be installed up to sub soil water table with P – Gravel around the pipe. The solid pipe will be provided between filtering media and ground level to clean in case of blockage through Air Compressor etc. The schematic diagram is attached. Working of Sewerage Treatment Plant:
  • 5. The complex will be decided into four – five zones and sewage under ground plants will be on 80% of water supply rate. . Incoming sewage is at a level of 4-5m depth from ground. This is collected in an incoming sump which has a screen fixed at the entry of the sump. A cat ladder and manhole is provided for maintenance point of view. Two automatic sewage submersible pumps are provided to lift the liquid to grease chamber and then to tube settler system with level control or ensuring automatic operation. And than to aeration tank the sewage undergoes aeration and subsequent attached growth. This results in increased aerobic suspended growth and attached growth systems. From aeration tank the effluent over floors to clarifier for setting solid & the tanked effluent to tank and than pumped to filter. Sewerage is collected in an incoming sump which has a screen fixed at the entry of the sump. A cat ladder and manhcle is provided for maintenance point of view. Two automatic sewage submersible pumps are provided to transport liquid to the bio-reactor system with level control for ensuring automatic operation. The incoming sewage is lifted to the bio- reactor system. Further treatment in the form of Tertiary treatment through Filter Vessels is done. Before feeding water to Filter vessels, slight dose of chlorine is added to stream and water is passed on the twin set off aesthetically designed Pressure sand filter and Activated Carbon filter. Whereas Pressure Sand filter removes very fine suspended particles in the Discharge Stream, Activated Carbon Filter removes traces of any impurity as well as any dour or colour inherent in the stream. BOD and COD of water is further reduced during filtration. Water after Tertiary Treatment is fit for use for flushing water for water closets, irrigation in kitchen gardens, lawns for Horticulture purposes.
