Author Biography: The son of Irish immigrants, Jack O’Keefe became interested in the horrors of The Great Famine—two million Irish dead and one million exiles. O’Keefe has taught literature and writing at City Colleges of Chicago for 33 years. The father of three grown sons, he lives with his wife in Chicago.
