This Year's Event
The programme and format has been put together by:
• The Programme Committee (Brian Kelly, Ian Upton,
Tracey Stanley, Stephen Bulley and Catherine Ewart)
and informed by feedback, discussions on lists, etc.
This year we:
• Address theme of "Transforming The Organisation"
• Provide plenary speakers who will provide a vision or reflect
on institutional activities
• Provide participative workshop sessions
The event administration is managed by the Organising
Committee (Natasha Bishop, Sarah Smith & Brian Kelly,
UKOLN and Ian Upton)

The Format
The format of the workshop is:
• Eight plenary talks of 45 minutes
• A choice of 2 from 14+ parallel sessions lasting
90 minutes
• Two discussion group sessions and a final report
back session in which the groups:
(a) Identify and prioritise key challenges in chosen area
(b) Find solutions
(c) Brief report back (in final session)
• Tonight: drinks reception & conference dinner
• Tomorrow: canal trip to Birmingham city centre
(arrange own meals and drinks – advice in pack)
