• Spread on Tropical Countries Including Indonesia,

Buol-Toli-Toli, Gorontalo Palopo, Buton dan

5. ISSUES ON THE FIELD
 Need standarditation on classification of varietis and standard
quality of raw materials.
 Quality of materials only considered from rattan pole
morphology characteristics.
 Knowledge on rattan characteristics, limited based on the
morphology characters only.
 Raw material processing quality need to be improved.
 Product outcome need to be improved in terms of design,
innovation and quality.
 Limitation on study about rattan.
 Rattan wicker works/ crafts hard to compete in international
market.
 Rattan cultivation is really important.
 Supply and marketing chain of rattan material and product need
to be improved.
 Orientation of rattan product outcome only limited to furniture
and crafts.
