The document discusses different types of dietary fats and their health effects. It explains that there are four main types of fat: trans fats, saturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, and monounsaturated fats. Trans fats and saturated fats are generally harmful and should be limited, while monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats can be part of a healthy diet when consumed in moderation. The document provides sources of monounsaturated fats like olive oil and nuts. It recommends checking the ingredients list for partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated oils to identify trans fat content in foods.

Don’t just cut fat out of your diet. If you recall from yesterday, you want all your calories to count. If you are taking them in, they should be packed with nutrients or provide some healthful benefit to you.
Remember that you want to maximize your calories by consuming sources that are nutrient-dense and provide the most health benefits.
However, there are some general guidelines for the types of fats you eat, which can help you manage your cholesterol levels.
I’m going to set the timer to 1 minute. When I start the timer. Each person should pick one room by selecting your name and dragging it to the room. If you want, use the Notes function to take notes about what you learn so you can present it to the class. Please review the slides in your room and raise your hand if you have questions and I’ll come to your room to answer your question (maybe Marge or Walt can be the scripted hand-raiser?) When the timer is up, I will bring you back to the main room and you will each, one at a time, teach the rest of the class what you learned. Ready? Set up timer Start timer Visit everyone in their rooms (or at least one person) When timer is up, bring everyone back to their room. Hang up my mic Add a new whiteboard screen Assign microphone & whiteboard privileges to student 1. Feel free to write on the whiteboard. OK student 1, click on the mic and tell us you what you’ve learned. Repeat steps 6-8 with student 2 when student 1 is finished. Etc.
Here’s an interactive table I wanted to show you. It’s in you online handouts on the course website. A PDF is included in the handouts.
Before you log out, remember to save the chat transcript and the lecture slides if you want to keep them or the link to the full-length segment of the Colbert clip. Otherwise, you can just watch the archive.
