Verbs express action or a state of being.
For example:
eat, walk, run, etc.
The horse is running.
Let's walk to the park.
3. Types of verb
There are three types of verbs:
Action verbs
Helping verb
Linking verb
4. 1. Action verb:
An action verb tells what action someone or
something is performing.
Example:
• The bus arrived on time.
• Sheraz brought new car.
5. 2.Helping verb / auxiliary
verb
Helping verb / auxiliary verb help the main verb
to describe action.That’s action happened in
the past or is happened in the present or will
happen in the future.
Example:
Am , are , be, do , does , going to , might , must
, need , shall , should etc.
6. 3.Linking verb:
• A linking verb links the subject to a subject
complement that identifies or describe the
subject.
Example:
• The stew tasted good.
( tasted is linking verb)
His name is ahmed.
( is linking verb )
