This document discusses the cloud computing market in Thailand. It finds that smartphone and tablet shipments are increasing rapidly in Thailand, fueling demand for cloud services. Currently, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is the most developed cloud market, with telecommunications companies and data centers providing public cloud services while large enterprises use private clouds. Platform as a Service (PaaS) has no major local providers yet. Software as a Service (SaaS) demand is expected to increase significantly due to growing mobile device use, with international companies like Salesforce, Google, and Microsoft dominating the market. Thailand still needs to improve data privacy laws and infrastructure to further develop its cloud computing sector.

connectivity, broadband quality and power grid stability.
While it scored relatively well in business sophistication
and freedom of access to information, it ranked last in data
sovereignty.
Recommendation: Apart from the urgent need to improve
the infrastructure, we also recommend the re-examination
of data privacy and sovereignty laws, two of its lowest-
scoring indices.
