• Initially, “The Facebook” was only open to Harvard
  students.
• In March 2004, it opened to Stanford, Columbia and Yale
  and soon after to other Ivy League schools.
• December 2004: Facebook has a million users.

• 2005: Facebook supports more than 800 colleges and
  opens to high schools.
• December 2005: Facebook has 6 million users.
• September 2006: Facebook opens to all users age 13 and
  above.
• December 2006: Facebook has 12 million users.

•   August 2011: 1.2 million.
•   January 2012: over 11 million users.
•   Today: almost 20 million users.
