                                       Stolen
Why we chose this song?

We have chosen this song as it gives out a powerful message which relates to society
today. The meaning of the song is about how people with a lot of talent really aren't
appreciated and eventually will have their lives stolen, it gives out a powerful

Carly Rae Jepsen
                                   Call Me Maybe

Why we chose this song?

We have chosen this song as it appeals to a young teenage girl audience. Most pop
videos have a narrative for example this song is about a girl who has a crush on a boy
and we can relate this with our target audience. Furthermore it is a very memorable
song so people will remember it as well as the music video.

Taylor Swift
                         We Are Never Ever Getting

Why we chose this song?

We choose this video because it is an upbeat, energetic and fun song. Also the song
gives us a chance to play around with the music video and storyline. As most pop

Mood Board analysis
This mood board shows the kind of locations we
want for our music videos it fits our genre Pop. The
mood board is girly and this is because it is aimed at
our target audience from age 14-21. The reason
why we chose these locations as it fits in with the
songs and the storylines. Each setting has a
different scenario.

This mood board shows the kind of colours and
themes that are going to run through the music
video. It gives an overall feel of the video and the
narration behind it. These colours are all very
bright and eye catching to show the happiness in
the protagonist that she has split from her
boyfriend.

This mood board shows the kind of clothing and
costumes that characters are going to wear. The
reasons we choose these styling of clothing and
colour because we wanted to portray a happy, fun
and energetic atmosphere to the video and the
protagonist.
Treatment
Taylor Swift – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Duration of the music 3.36
Props: instruments for example a guitar, keyboard and drums etc
Hair and make-up: Face paints, a range of hair styles and make up for the main
character
Costume: Three characters will be wearing animal outfits, this is because the
conventions has already been used in the original music video, and we wanted to
use an element from it although we are subverting the original use of the animals
and story. The main character will have a range of different outfits as there will be a
lot of change in backgrounds and locations. These costumes will range from
colourful dresses to jeans and tops.
Treatment
• The music video will be catered for audience member who are girls
ranging from the ages of early teens to Mid-twenties. This is because the
song is a fun, upbeat, meaningful break up song.

• Reasons for choosing ‘Taylor Swift- We are never ever getting back
  together’’
• We choose this video because it is an upbeat, fun song. Being a part of
the target audience we feel that it will be interesting and fun to work with.
• Synopsis (summary- what happens in your video?)
• The main character which will be Jeta, will break up with a boy. The boy
will turn into an animal. We will have three animals which will be played
by the rest of the group (Tahmina, Hafsa and Numayna). We will alternate
between ourselves so one of can us can film. The two animals will follow
the main character around. Un till the end where she re turns an item of
the boys which turns him back to himself. The end of the music video will
show her finally free and walking away from.

shopping centre. They will be facing each other and she will sing the first line ‘I
remember when we broke up the first time’ to him and then turn around and sing

• I remember when we broke up the
    first time
Saying, "This is it, I've had • Like, ever...
enough," 'cause like We do an extreme I'm really gonna miss you picking
We hadn't seen each other in a close up when she says fights
month And me, falling for it screaming
When you said you needed space.
                                           this to make the

(What?) And you, would hide away and
Then you come around again and with her. find your peace of mind
say With some indie record that's
"Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm much cooler than mine
    gonna change, trust me."
Remember how that lasted for a Oooh, you called me up again
    day? tonight
I say, "I hate you," we break up, But oooh, this time I'm telling you,
you call me, "I love you." I'm telling you
Oooh we called it off again last We are never ever ever getting
    night back together
But oooh, this time I'm telling you, We are never ever ever getting
    I'm telling you back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to
We are never ever ever getting This part we will do a my friends, talk to me (talk to me)
back together close up, amd slowly But we are never ever ever ever
We are never ever ever getting zoom out so it becomes getting back together
    back together
                                           a long shot the frame
You go talk to your friends, talk to Oooh yeah, oooh yeah, oooh yeah
                                           will be filled with
my friends, talk to me Oh oh oh
But we are never ever ever ever people.
getting back together I used to think that we were
                                                                        forever ever
Locations
It has recently over the past two years
become popular for music videos to
feature different types of animals, this
includes people dressing up in costumes
to feature throughout or in bits of the
video. This is supported by artist like
Coldplay – Paradise and Bruno Mars – The
Lazy Song.

This an example of camera angle and
background we will have in our music
video, this mid shot gives a more
personal to the song and the
audience.
Camera Angles

  • We will use establishing shot in our video, so we can show the
scenery. We will do this in regents park. By doing so it will set the
       mood of the song.

  • A close up will provide focus and attention on the characters
       feelings or reactions.

The mid shot shows some part of the subject in more detail,
whilst still showing enough for the audience to feel as if they were
      looking at the whole subject.
