Alexander College and Thompson Rivers University present:
the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business pathway program
2. The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business (PBD-B) program is a 2-year graduate-level
program that has been designed for students that have already attained a bachelor
degree and choose to return to university to acquire a specialty in a functional area
of business. With eight areas of specialization, the program can be customized to fit
individual career needs and areas of interest.
Many students pursue a graduate degree to refine their skill sets and enhance their
employment opportunities; others study for the joy of ongoing learning. The PBD-B
program is also a good fit for international students who wish to come to Canada for
graduate business studies and may need some additional English language support.
Thompson Rivers University
Alexander College (AC) is a private post-secondary institution with two
urban campuses located in Burnaby and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Program offerings include undergraduate university transfer, 2-year
Associate degrees, post-graduate pathways, and an integrated English for

3. Alexander College and Thompson Rivers University have collaborated
to offer The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business program. With
the opportunity to choose from 8 different specialties, the PBD-B
program consists of between 51-60 credits. Students complete the
first year (21-36 credits) at Alexander College and, with appropriate
grades, transfer to TRU for the second year (30-39 credits). The
PBD-B program is normally completed over a period of 2 years.

Pathway Program
• 3 or 4 year bachelor degree
• English proficiency requirement – English 12 (B), or equivalent
• Math proficiency requirement – Mathematics 12 (C+), or equivalent
Admission Requirements (Year 1)
1. Submit application form and fee of $150
2. Submit academic transcript(s) and degree certificate
3. On confirmation of Admission, submit the tuition deposit
4. Receive official letter of acceptance
