2. Origin
ADDIS Adolescents is a Swedish interpretation of the American

ADDIS Adolescents operationalises the criterias for harmful use,
addiction and substance use disorder as presented in ICD-10

(developed by American Psychiatric Association).
3. Target group
ADDIS Adolescents is developed for indivduals between the ages
13 – 20. It differs from the original ADDIS instrument in that it
provides an oppurtunity for the interviewer to make more
intricate assessments in order to minimize the risk of over
diagnosing young people.
4. What is it?
ADDIS Adolescents is a structured interview questionnaire aimed
to explore an individuals relationship to mind altering
substances. The interview will lead to a diagnose/diagnostic
assessment in compliance with ICD-10 and DSM-5 criterias.
In addition ADDIS Adolescents screens for comorbidity issues:
stress, PTSD, anxiety, depression and gambling. And it provides
grounds for differential diagnostics with the help of an extensive
substance list.
