Filippo Brunelleschi was an Italian architect and engineer who is best known for designing the dome of Florence Cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore, which was the largest dome built in Europe since antiquity. The document contains pictures relating to Brunelleschi's most famous work, the dome of Florence Cathedral, as well as other architectural works attributed to him such as the naves of San Lorenzo and Santo Spirito and a late statue of Leon Battista Alberti. One picture shows the entire cathedral with Brunelleschi's dome, which is considered one of his most important architectural achievements.
