Amira: introduce the topic of keynote First looking at what is what web2.0 is- what it means, how its changing, and what it means for your particular sites as you address the needs of your residents then we will transition in to a few concrete examples of ways global kids has utilized the latest technology and digital media to reach the young people we serve in a way that is meaningful breakout- and since we are a small enough group we will then open it up to you for some time to think really specifically with those at your table about ways you can take the existing resources and strengths of your site to the next level then we will look to the future- by briefly going over some of the latest research and frameworks that may prove helpful in guiding your work around this- while we approach technology from a youth development framework- thats not to say that this isnt applicable to you if your sites cater to senior citizens or adults- all about engaging people in new and powerful ways we urge you to use the pen and paper in your binders to take notes on anything that is unclear or you would like to learn more about- since we will leave some time at the end to speak directly to any questions you may have

We expose them to critical global issues, help them connect it w their own experience, and act positively in their community and the world run afterschool programs in about 15 HSs and Middle Schools in NYC, as well as at our HQ here’s a short video that describes our approach
