2. Cause can be expressed in several ways.
 With adverb clauses of cause (called a cause clause)
 With prepositional phrases followed by a noun
clause

3.  Subordinating conjunction (because)
 I prepared an omelette because I was hungry.
 Because I was hungry, I prepared an omelette.
 Coordinating conjunction (so)
 I was hungry, so I prepared an omelette.
 Transition (thus, therefore, consequently, as a
result)
 I was hungry; therefore, I prepared an omelette.
 I was hungry. Therefore, I prepared an omelette.
