How to use our EbscoHost Student Research Center

1. Looking for Magazines and
Newspaper Articles
There are 2 options:
1. Come to a library and thumb
through all the magazines
2. Search EBSCOHost online to
find full-text articles

2. EBSCOHost Online #1
Polar bears Look for the blue circle with
“Research Databases.”
Put in your search term and hit
“Search.”

3. EBSCOHost Online #2
Username: caravel
Password: academy

4. EBSCOHost Online #3
You are logged in to
our Caravel account.
Click on “Choose
Databases” before you do
anything else.

5. EBSCOHost Online #4
Select ONLY “Middle Search
Plus.” Click “OK”

6. EBSCOHost Online #5
1. Put in your subject search.
2. Choose “Smart Text Searching.”
“Boolean/Phrase” is good too.
3. Select “Full Text” so
you can read it online

7. EBSCOHost Online #6
See your results!
