The Nine Planets of Our Solar System
Big Bang Theory As you can see the big , bang , theory created the solar system and our nine planets . The big bang theory occurs when a star gets very old and explodes . These are the answers to how are Universe was formed.
The Sun ,[object Object]
The Sun is the the main source that serves as the light bulb of Earth. Without the Sun, we would freeze to death.
This star is also made out of nickel and iron.,[object Object]
Mercury Mercury has 0 moons. The whole planet is not much bigger than Earth’s moon.  Because Mercury is the closest to the sun, its temperatures are super hot! Someone could easily cook like an egg if they visited the planet Mercury!
Venus Venus may look yellow, but this is just the planet’s clouds covering its surface. Like the green house effect, Venus’ clouds trap the heat into the planet, which makes it hotter than Mars. Venus is mostly made of volcanoes means there is no life.
Venus’s elements ,[object Object]
Venus is mostly made up of carbon dioxide. Humans would choke to death if they entered Venus.,[object Object]
Earth Mother earth consist of gold , silver, coal, iron, lead, oxygen, helium, matter, gravity, and more.
Gaia No other planet can contain life like me. Earth is the one and only planet that can contains oxygen. Oxygen is the main element necessary for life life.
The voyager 1 was the first space probe to orbit earth . As a result the space probe sent back information about Earth’s appearance The dish antenna transfers commands to the space craft. Above is the space probe’s camera for viewing and taking pictures of Earth. The space probe’s 3 battery packs above supply energy for all the electronics.
Mars I am the planet who’s color is an explanation of blood in war and I could contain life, who am I ? That’s right…… I’m the god of war . This planet is the 4th planet from the sun - mars !!!
Mars- the red planet Mars consist of sand storms, volcanoes , and canals. Sometimes sandstorms can blanket mars for 1 month. Mars soil exemplifies metal getting rusty in the rain. The red surface of the planet is a result of the rusty soil. 95% percent of carbon dioxide exists on Mars. There is no water on Mars. Some other elements are argon and other gases. I bet I can survive Mars!
Mars’ moons The 2 moons, Phobos , and Deimos are the moons for mars . Phobos is larger than Deimos.
Sojourner The sojourner robot was the first rover to explore Mars. From all the information it has collected, the rover found out mars could contain life .
Jupiter My planet, Jupiter is mostly made up of hydrogen , and other gases. Jupiter is also the biggest gas giant.
Jupiter’s Moons Jupiter has at least 60 moon and 4 more moons . These moons are called Io , Ganymede , Europa ,and Calisto. These four moons are the closest to Jupiter . Ganymede Is the largest moon in the solar system. Callisto-The holes that appear on the surface of the planet are caused by craters. Europa’s surface is frozen. The red color in the planet are the gases Io – This moon has the most volcanic activity in the solar system.
Galileo explore ,[object Object]
This space craft collected enough information that Jupiter has 60 moons and 4 more moons that where closer to Jupiter.,[object Object]
Saturn’s moons You are probably wondering what the ring around Saturn is. The ring around Saturn is it’s 63 moons , Saturn has more moons than any other planet in the solar system. The voyage 2 collected information on a lot of Saturn’s moon’s Some names of the moons are: the Pan(1990), atlas(1980), Proetheus (1980),and the Pandora (1980). Saturn’s moons .
Pioneer II – This space probe was rocketed in 1973 to Saturn. The space craft collected enough information that identified the rings around Saturn were its moons. The probe discovered the rings where actually made out of little ringlets. The ringlets are made out of tiny particles of ice , dust , and rocks.
Uranus- This planet shines like a blue gem in space. Uranus’ name comes from the father of Saturn and the grandfather of Jupiter . Uranus elements consist of helium and hydrogen . Uranus- This planet has 27 moon . Some of the planets are called the Umbriel , Ariel, and the Maranda..
5….4……3 ....2 ….. 1… Blast off !!!! That’s right, in 1990 the Hubble Space telescope rocketed to Uranus to send pictures back to Nasa . Unfortunately the first picture that was sent to Nasa looked like a blue dot , but the space craft pieced together enough pictures for one big picture.
My Planet is the fourth biggest planet in the solar system Neptune-This planet name came from the roman god of the sea. You are probably wondering why Neptune is blue . Neptune is blue because it is has methane in its atmosphere .
Neptune’s Moons Neptune has 8 moons but more show up each year. The 9 moons of Neptune are Naiad , Thalassa , the despina , Galatea , larissa , Proteus , Triton , and the Nereiod.
Voyager 2 The voyager 2 space probe was blasted of to explore and gather information about Neptune. This space probe took a lot of pictures on the planet’s moons and new ones also!!!
   Pluto ,[object Object]
The dwarf planet was the ninth planet from the sun but in 2006 was considered as a dwarf planet.
Pluto’s moon is bigger than the planet Pluto. Nasa considers it a double planet system.Greek God- Pluto
Kuiper belt The Kuiper belt is an example of a barrier around the Solar System. The Kuiper belt is mostly made out of rocks , gas , dust , and ice
Asteroid Belt This belt is also a barrier of solar system and is made out of dust, matter, ice, and rocks. The Asteroid Belt is really a ring of asteroids.
Space Race In Oct 4, 1957, the Soviet Union launched Sputnik 1. The Sputnik was the 1st satellite to orbit Earth. This satellite started the US- USSR Space Race. To compete, America launched the Apollo program. NASA, was able to have the 1st man to land on the moon, through the Apollo 11 program. VS.
