After two long years (well, technically 3 days short of 2 years) the Opus Legacy is back! This chapter completes my turn with the joint legacy. See Gil and Yuki's gen 2 children age to teens and then the family will be passed along to Katie/ilovereecee. Thanks for coming back and reading!

3. Thank you for coming back after the long hiatus! My computer crashed back in 2009 and it wasn't until this October that I was able to rescue all of my sims files from my old computer, so this joint legacy is finally back on! This is a joint book themed legacy between myself (hippielayla86) and ilovereecee.

4. We are currently in generation 1 and generation 2 keeps growing, there are four children now. This generation's children are named after characters in the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey.

5. This chapter, just as with the first two, will be told from Gilgamesh's perspective. Since there has been such a long break between chapters, I would recommend re-reading Chapters 1 & 2, if you don't, I'll be doing a short little recap to help you out a bit before Gil (our founder) start's narrating.

7. The founder of this legacy is Gilgamesh Opus. Gilgamesh, or as everyone calls him now, Gil, was named after the hero in the first known work of literature: The Epic of Gilgamesh. Gil's namesake was a womaniser who changed his ways later in life and committed to his wife after an epic journey. Our Gil is a romance sim who married his lovely wife Yuki. Yuki is a shy pleasure minded sim. Both of them shared the LTW of topping the slacker career.

10. This picture was taken right after his birthday before his Dad got ahold of some scissors for Rob's hair.

12. She likes to help with the family garden. Katie and I are playing by the newest legacy rules and have a Legacy Tree and garden for the family which Sallah helps take care of.

16. And that ties up our little recap, let's get back to Gil's narration....

29. Ramoth and Lessa are most famous for a daring flight that could've gotten both of them killed, and with Ramoth being the only queen dragon on Pern, it could've resulted in the end of Pern too.

32. We're very fortunate that all of our children take their educations very seriously. All of them earn high marks, and are always proud to show us their aced tests and assignments. Yuki and I really want to get our children into private school, but want to wait until F'lar and Ramoth are old enough to go too.

33. I've received another promotion at work. I am now a Surveillance Operator. These longer hours are providing a more comfortable living for my family. But if I could, I would trade back to my old career in a heart beat to be able to spend more time with my family.

34. Our son Rob is still battling me on getting his haircut, saying he likes it long. I don't understand why he likes that moppy mess... I don't understand teenage girls and why they're into boys with long hair. And don't even get me started on the skinny jeans thing! At least Rob isn't following that trend! But, I'm happy to say that my boy is finally taking a bit after me and has invited a classmate home from school with him.

35. It seems Rob has found a weakness to his friend's heart, music. His friend Caryl was creating quite a commotion over my son's talents on the piano.

36. My daughters spend a lot of time together these days. They're only a year apart in school, so they like to talk about the boys a year ahead of Sallah and who they think is the cutest. The two of them also like to talk about their favorite teachers together.

37. Yuki is the only one who is invited to join the girls during their “girl talk.” I think it's wonderful how well they all get along, and I think if I were sitting in on “girl talk” I would get upset about my daughters already having crushes on boys at school. So I think it's good that I'm not invited. ;)

38. Rob has helped with F'lar and Ramoth since they were born, and now he's been helping his younger brother Sebell with his school work too. I thought teens were supposed to argue with their siblings and parents all of the time? Well, I guess Rob and I do fight about that awful hair of his from time to time...

39. Our little Sallah has been hard at work on her mother's portrait. She's been spending all of her free time making sure she captures her, “mother's beauty! I need to make sure I get her smile just right.” --- Sallah has maxed her creativity skill points out.

40. While Rob helped Sebell with his homework, Yuki helped Neri with her's. A bit unrelated, but you can see that our son's friend Caryl just wouldn't leave that night. Yuki found it a little odd that she would stick around seeing her in her pajamas and not get the hint.

41. I know our youngest twins won't be babies for long, so I make sure I get in enough time with both F'lar and Ramoth. Nothing compares to the way babies smell, and their little smiles... I could go on all day. Yuki and I have decided that F'lar and Ramoth will be our last, so I've been cherishing every moment. Who would've thought I'd be so gagga over fatherhood?

42. I guess when you're married to the love of your life, it's only natural that you want to have a family with them. I see so much of my love in all of our children, I'm such a lucky man!

43. Robbie, er I mean, Rob, continues to surprise Yuki and myself. We figured after he brought a girl home he'd be spending all of his time trying to find a girlfriend. But, Rob is very content taking care of his siblings, including little Ramoth here.

44. My wife has always loved cooking*, so it's not surprising that she spends most of her free time sitting in the living room reading a new cook book. --- Yuki's predestined hobby is cooking, and she has maxed her cooking skill tonight.

45. We've put in a pond next to our garden and little Sallah here was the first to try her hand at fishing. She's quite good! She caught a cat fish the first day she fished.

46. All of the help Rob has been giving Sebell with his homework has paid off. Our little man is now at the top of his class.

47. When I came home from work today, I did a double take at our hot tub. Our Robbie – er, Rob, I need to stop doing that – was sitting in our hot tub with a girl I had never seen before! The two were so concerned with each other that they didn't notice me at all. --- This is Ginger Newson. Rob brought Ginger home, and they autonomously got into the hot tub and started cuddling!

48. I took it as a sign and put the two on an official date. The two started out with negative chemistry, but as the date progressed they had 2 lightning bolts of chemistry for each other. Gil has a bit to say about it as well... --- I must admit, I was proud of my son. This girl is by far prettier than his other friend, and Rob looks as pleased by this as I am. I even saw the two of them sharing a kiss! Now, he just needs to introduce us to this mystery girl!

49. I heard the mystery girl's name in passing, her name is Ginger. I would've preferred an introduction rather than learning by hearing Rob say, “Oh Ginger, kiss me my little love kitten” Where he learned to talk like that! … well... maybe Yuki and I should be a bit more discrete when we think no one can hear us...

50. Rob was able to tear his attention away from his love kitten to help his youngest brother F'lar with his birthday.

51. F'lar seems to be a messy, loud, playful and nice little guy. I have a feeling he's going to cause a bit of trouble coming up soon... --- F'lar is a Libra – 2 Neat, 8 Outgoing (most outgoing gen 2 kid), 5 Active, 7 Playful (most playful), 7 Nice (nicest)

52. Our little Ramoth had a birthday too of course. But we were able to get her to her cake in time. If you look in the background you can see that Sallah has completed her mother's portrait. I'm very impressed with her hard work!

53. Our little Ramoth is quite a mixture of Yuki and myself. She has Yuki's little nose, my mouth and my hair and skin color. She is active, playful and nice like her twin, but she seems to be a pretty tidy young lady, for a toddler that is... well, which means she doesn't get into the toilet. ;) --- Ramoth is a Virgo – 10 Neat (neatest of the generation), 7 Outgoing, 5 Active, 5 Playful, 5 Nice

54. Our son seems quite taken with his new girlfriend. At least I'm hoping he's calling her his girlfriend! They spent all night together.

55. And it looks as if the feelings are mutual. Though when girls started giving guys flowers? Who knows.

56. Our little painting machine Sallah has just been invited to join the My Muse II Art studio by it's president Trevor Ngai.

57. Things are still going well at work, I've received another promotion at work. I am now a Reconnaissance Communicator and I've received a bonus of 1,530 simoleons.

58. Our faithful pet Diver, who has mellowed over the years, has found a new friend in our little Ramoth. --- I find this ironic since Ramoth the dragon in McCaffrey's books hates fire lizards, Diver's namesake.

59. Yuki has been spending a lot of time with little F'lar, helping him learn how to speak. She was beside herself with joy when his first word was, “Mommy”

60. The older Sallah and Neri get, the more alike they look. Both of them have my nose, which I was a little worried about looking strange on a female, but they are the prettiest daughters in the world.

61. Sometimes Yuki dresses our little F'lar and Ramoth in matching pjs. Honestly, I think F'lar gets the short end of the stick, with them being pink and all. But honestly, does a toddler really need to conform to gender stereotypes?

62. Growing up with a large family, she can't imagine it any other way. Plus, family members are guaranteed best friends she tells us. At least that's true with our family. --- Sallah is by far the shyest of this generation with 1 outgoing point. So I was a little shocked at her secondary aspiration of Popularity with her primary being Family, but that one didn't shock me. Today Sallah celebrated a very special birthday. Our eldest daughter is now a teenager. Our shy daughter* has informed us that her heart longs for a strong, big family for in her adult years.

63. Yuki is as reluctant as me to see our twins grow up. But, it is inevitable and so we both are making sure not to baby the two of them a bunch. In fact, Ramoth is starting to learn how to walk.

64. Some things never change, one of those things for our family is that we all still try to sit down for meals together when it's possible. It's been a great way for us to keep up with one another as the children get older. Don't get me wrong, we do get a scoff at the question, “What did you learn in school today?” from time to time, but I remember doing the same to my parents when I was growing up.

65. ---- And this readers is where I lost the family the first time! There was a thunderstorm outside, and I was urged to turn off my computer so it didn't get fried. Little did I know that my sim's game was still saving, so I corrupted my game trying to save it. I was able to rebuild the family with my meticulous notes, and recreate the house. I had also created both Yuki and Gil in bodyshop so I was able to get the kids looking about the same, and genetics to what they had been. But I ended up losing a few slides, and CC in the process so some of the family does look a little bit different. The missed slides showed Yuki getting a promotion, Ramoth learning to talk, and Sebell maxing his mechanical skill.

66. The rebuild also meant that I didn't know skillpoints for the kids unless they had maxed them... so this puts them at a disadvantage for uni scholarships, but all in all, I'm just happy to have them back safe and sound! So, let's get back to Gil... --- I finally won my battle with Rob about his hair. We also took him to the eye doctor and found out he needed glasses like his mother. I think the new look really suits him.

67. Having two teenagers in the house makes a world of difference with the ease of raising our youngest twins. When Sebell and Neri were toddlers, I remember a lot of sleepless nights and painful work days trying to keep myself awake. If we had thought Rob was helpful with the twins before, Sallah is blowing him out the water. She says it's good practice for when she has her own kids one day.

68. More often than not, Neri and Rob can be found playing chess together. Neri has a natural gift* with it, and I know Rob just likes to have fun. But, really, I'm happy that the two of them are spending time together doing something that will help strengthen their critical thinking rather than just sitting in front of the tv! --- * Neri's predestined hobby is gaming

69. My son and his girlfriend Ginger, yes, we were finally officially introduced, are still together. I think the two will be high school sweethearts, and I wouldn't be shocked if the relationship lasted throughout their adult life too.

70. Sallah has needed some extra help lately with her trigonometry. I was never good at the subject myself, so I'm glad that Yuki can be there to help our daughter. While they were working on homework though, Yuki could tell Sallah's mind was somewhere else. --- Since the rebuild all of the kids have to be retaught how to do a lot of things.

71. It seems our daughter needed a little pep talk. “ Mom, you know how Rob has been dating Ginger for a while now? Well, I just don't know how he did it. How do you get someone to be interested in you?” “ Well baby, I had trouble with that too when I was younger. It seemed the more I tried, the harder it was to get a boyfriend. When I finally gave up, and just started having fun with everything, and just made some good guys friends, that's when things started to happen for me. You see, I've never been outgoing, so when your father finally opened up to me, and we started dating we had been friends for a long time. Just relax sweetheart, the right guy will come around, just have fun.”

72. While Yuki was giving our daughter dating advice I was downstairs with little F'lar, teaching him how to walk. I think teaching a child how to walk is easier than having dating talks any day. I'm very thankful that my wife and I are there for each other and for our family. If Sallah would've asked me, I wouldn't have known what to tell her, I never had trouble with dating.

73. Our middle children will be entering middle school soon. So Yuki and I are making sure to help them do well on all of their tests and coursework so they have a better chance of getting into private school later.

74. Yuki's chat with Sallah really seemed to do the trick. She seems a lot more relaxed lately, and just seems to be enjoying the company of her family, including her youngest sister Ramoth. Little Ramoth just gets cuter everyday!

75. Neri is taking after her older sister, and has become a great help in the garden too. With Sallah a teen, and Neri still a child I think Neri started up the hobby to have more in common with her older sister.

76. Ramoth and F'lar spend a lot of time together, matter of fact, the two are practically inseparable. --- Most of the Opuses are best friends with each other, including twins Ramoth and F'lar. They are such an adorable family to play.

77. My wife has finally done it, she is once again the most likely sim to be on guest lists. People just can't have a party without her it seems. I'm so happy for my wife, I know this means a lot to her after how she had been exiled from the night life for a while. --- Finally after many setbacks, Yuki has completed her LTW to be a professional party guest.

78. Yuki sleeps much more soundly at night. I hope that her success will mean our relationship will be stronger than ever. --- Yuki's new LTW is to have 50 dream dates, this could be fun to try at least.

79. Today I applied for and was accepted into Desiderata Valley's garden club. They gave me 1,110 simoleons to help expand my garden, and installed a wishing well for us. They told us that it's rumoured to make people's wishes come true.

80. Our shy Sallah thought it couldn't hurt to see if the rumours were true. She went to the wishing well and cast a wish for the one thing she just couldn't seem to get on her own...

81. A boyfriend! This young man, Connor, appeared all of a sudden. He saw my daughter...

82. And pulled her in for a kiss. --- Finally the shy family oriented Sallah, has gotten a few of her wants fulfilled. The want to have her first kiss filled shot her into a platinum mood. Connor was cute enough but Sallah had some plans for that hair of his.

83. My daughter really seemed to take to Connor, but she wanted to do something about his hair. Seriously, what is it with young women and their fascination with long hair these days?? I just don't get it. But I do suppose in Connor's case this hair style suits him better.

84. Sallah wasn't the only one with teenage love, Ginger and Rob are still inseparable. I think Yuki is right when she says that she thinks the two of them have something stronger than puppy love. --- The teen couple “went steady”

85. I suppose I shouldn't be too shocked that it's Ramoth and F'lar's birthdays with our two eldest already dating. But, I am a little bit. Our youngest twins youth seems to be flying by!

86. Yuki and I hosted a small party for the twins. It was mostly attended by the love interests and friends of our other children. But Ramoth and F'lar seemed to be enjoying the extra attention.

87. Our son F'lar grew into a very messy full head of hair. As a birthday present to the twins, we've redecorated their room. With limited space we had to utilize bunk beds. We were relieved when F'lar and Ramoth were over the moon with the newly done room.

88. Just like her sisters before her, Ramoth continues to grow into her looks. They must all get their looks from their mother. I think I'm going to have to fight off the boys when Ramoth is a teen! --- Totally unrelated, but I love that Ramoth grew up into the dragon costume since her namesake is a dragon! I had to keep it.

89. Ramoth seems to be a little book worm. She reads everything she can get her hands on. Her latest read was a guide on fixing common household objects. --- Ramoth maxed her Mechanical skills the first day of her childhood!

90. Now that all of our children are old enough to sit around the table, it's made meal time more difficult. I'm sad to say too that we don't have enough money to get a bigger table at this time. So we all have to take shifts eating. And now that Sallah is a teen, she's been helping out with the cooking responsibilities giving Yuki a bit of a break.

91. Now that all of our kids are school aged, we also decided to get them all into private school. The headmaster came for a routine meet and greet and happily accepted our children into his school!

92. --- Just a note to the readers, the pictures from here on out may look a little different, because they are after I got this family back again. Yes, I thought I lost this family twice! After two years thinking this family was no more, I was able to save my old sim files. :) So, I have much more CC than I did at the time, so a few of the family members received some make overs.

93. Neri and Ramoth continue to grow, and I can see little glimpses into their teen years from time to time. Both of the girls begged their mother from something different regarding their looks. Neri wanted a more grown up hairdo and Ramoth wanted to trade in her dragon costume for some colorful new clothes. If only it would always be so easy to make them happy!

94. It seems both Sallah and Neri have lost interest in our family garden. I don't mind really since now I can take the time to tend the garden and get some much needed quiet time. With a house full of kids, I need it!

95. Sebell is our first child to pick up the violin. I'll admit it's been a little unpleasant at first, but he's really starting to get the hang of it now.

96. Sebell isn't the only one trying something new. Sallah told us the other day that she wants to try out for the dance club at her new school.

97. Some days I can't believe I never thought about having children. Now I can't even imagine my life without them! They all have me wrapped around their fingers, any (reasonable) request of theirs is quickly fulfilled.

98. My daughters may have lost interest in gardening, but it seems another family member has found a new past time. I wouldn't be shocked if Rob is trying to gain some extra allowance to spend on his long time sweetheart Ginger.

99. Now that the kids are older family conversation continues to get more interesting. With Sallah's current speculation that her teacher must be expecting magic with her astronomical homework assignments, and her younger siblings soaking it up. Yuki and I just have to laugh at their ramblings sometimes. --- Autonomous family dinners at the Opus house happen nightly.

100. All those years of Yuki being persistent about us all sitting down for dinner together have paid off. Everyone looks forward to this time together as a family, and we are starting to get sad about everyone growing up and eventually going their own ways.

101. Yuki and I would've expected some puppies by now from Diver and Kimi, but it seems even though they've been trying, there are no puppies to be had.

102. Little F'lar has joined the musical ranks with his oldest brother Rob. The two of them spent so much time at that piano as children. I wouldn't be shocked if F'lar saw how much Rob's girlfriends were impressed with Rob's musical skills and took up the hobby for that reason. I suppose we'll see when he gets older!

103. Neri and Ramoth may not be into music in the classical sense, but they do seem to enjoy dancing to the radio together.

104. My love for Yuki is just as strong as it ever was, she really is the love of my life. Without her, I'd probably still be living the bachelor life and feeling like there was a hole in my heart.

105. Love is in the air. Sallah and her boyfriend Connor are still together. It must be love since Connor comes to see her from a few towns away. --- I found out Connor was from one of the vacation neighborhoods when he had to be invited over for 3 sim days.

106. The winter weather was really starting to take a toll on our lemon tree. I didn't want to see it die since I had planted it the first day I moved to Desiderata Valley. So we built a greenhouse around it and planted some new plants around it. I'll be happy to have fresh produce year round now!

107. Our middle children twins Neri and Sebell are now teenagers. They both look a lot like me, and but luckily don't have my romantic streak! They both seem more interested in the pursuit of knowledge and their own ideas of fun. --- Neri (on the left) is a Knowledge/Pleasure sim who loves sims that wear cologne and glasses, but hates bling bling Sebell (on the right) is a Family/Knowledge sim who loves tidy, mechanically minded sims that don't cake their faces with make up (full face make up)

108. Age doesn't seem to come between these two. They still do most things together which is sweet.

109. Connor has been around for a few days, it makes me wonder what his home life is like that his parents would let him disappear for so long! But, his company makes Sallah happy, and that makes me happy.

110. F'lar and Ramoth are doing extremely well in school. They're at the top of their class, which I would like to think is due to our attentiveness to their schoolwork.

111. Especially Yuki's attention, seeing that she continues to climb up the education ladder. She is now a substitute teacher.

112. F'lar is fascinated with all things having to do with astronomy lately. He even discovered a new star the other day which he named after our family dog, Diver.

113. Yuki and I sat the children down for a very serious conversation tonight. We have decided to move. We've dreaded telling the children fearing that they would be unhappy with our decision. But, they all put on smiles for us and we've all decided to make the best of our last days in Desiderata Valley.

114. And this is how our shy Neri found the courage to start talking to new people. She figured if it didn't go well, she wouldn't have to deal with it for long. “ Komei, I'm so cold! I don't know how you can wear your hair like that in the winter.” “ Well, I never get cold Neri, come here, let me show you.” And maybe she's even looking for her first kiss...

115. Or not... maybe she was just honestly wanting to talk about how she was cold and fascinated with Komei's warm weather hair style.

116. The reason we're moving is because Yuki has been offered a job* at a neighbouring town's elementary school. She accepted wanting to leave her days of being a substitute teacher behind her. --- Yuki was promoted to an elementary teacher, and the real reason they're “moving” of course is because soon it will be Katie's/ilovereecee's turn with the family. :)

117. As a celebration for Yuki's job offer and a farewell to Desiderata Valley we decided to make a family trip to the local skating rink.

118. Yuki and I were glad to see all of our children happy, and enjoying themselves. We all really needed this last bout of fun before all of the packing and moving!

119. It turns out none of us are really that good at ice skating... but that wasn't the point. The point was spending time together, which is exactly what we did.

120. When we returned home F'lar and Ramoth decided to have a bit more fun together with a rowdy pillow fight. The two are going to start middle school soon, and so any time they can spend just having fun being kids is okay in my book.

121. Speaking of, today is F'lar and Ramoth's birthdays. F'lar really takes after his older sister Neri in his ideals. He wants to learn everything he can tackle but also make time for enjoying life! --- F'lar is a knowledge/pleasure sim just like Neri. He loves tidy sims that wear make up, but I think he wants a spouse that stays at home with the children, ie doesn't like hardworkers (6+ career level).

122. Ramoth on the other hand takes after me. All of her thoughts are revolving around finding a boyfriend for herself. --- Ramoth is a Romance/Fortune sim who loves handy and charismatic sims but dislikes seeing sims in their underwear. A strange turn off for a romance sim ;)

123. And this is where I must say adieu to you, and we'll begin our packing for our big move. But, do stick around to see some lovely shots we got of our children... --- Ie pictures of the possible heirs...

124. Here's our eldest son Rob standing by his beloved piano. We're wondering how our son will cope with being separated from his high school sweetheart Ginger. --- Robinton (Rob) is a Pleasure/Romance sim with 5 Neat, 4 Outgoing, 10 Active, 5 Playful and 5 Nice points.

125. Sallah is in the same boat as Rob, though she hasn't seen Connor too much, the two were very close. --- Sallah is a Family/Popularity sim and is also the shyest sim of this generation – 6 Neat, 1 Outgoing, 10 Active, 5 Playful, 6 Nice points

126. Neri has yet to really break out of her shell, but that's not too surprising since she's spent most of her time as a teen with her twin brother Sebell, smustling with her younger sister Ramoth or on her own with her nose in a book. --- Nerilka (Neri) is a Kowledge/Pleasure sim with 10 Neat, 2 Outgoing, 10 Active, 7 Playful, and 5 Nice points. She is tied with Ramoth as the neatest sim of this generation.

127. Our middle son Sebell wants nothing more in life than to fill his adult life with a family and the pursuit of knowledge, just as he did as a kid. --- Sebell is a Family/Knowledge sim with the rare gift of more than the normal 25 personality points – 7 Neat, 7 Outgoing, 9 Active, 7 Playful, 5 Nice points – he is one of of two outgoing sims this generation.

128. Since F'lar is just now a teen Yuki and I aren't too sure what he will do now as a teen. But he is a really outgoing young man, so we're sure he will make lots of friends after the move. --- F'lar is a Kowledge/Pleasure sim with 2 Neat, 8 Outgoing (most outgoing gen 2 kid), 5 Active, 7 Playful, 7 Nice (nicest)

129. I can only pretend I don't know what kind of trouble our youngest, Ramoth, will get up to. She is the most like me out of all of our children. --- Ramoth is a Romance/Fortune sim with 10 Neat (tied for neatest of the generation with her sister Neri), 7 Outgoing, 5 Active, 5 Playful, 5 Nice points
