2. Genre and Conventions!!
Horror
Horror conventions are gatherings of the community of fans of
various forms of horror including horror cinema, Goth lifestyle, and
occasionally science fiction and fantasy. Historically the focus has
been on the cinematic form rather than literature and art, but this
has broadened to include all forms in recent years. People in
attendance at a horror convention are traditionally known as
members of the convention; invited celebrities including film
directors and stars are commonly known as guests of the
convention, though many professionals including directors will
simply attend as members.

There is slow cuts- then long shots which
then goes faster – builds attention- suspense

Denotation it mean that what it is actually on the screen like the baby
picture on fire
Connotation is what it is symbolizing, the picture on the fire show that
someone is burning there memory someone doesn’t want to remember their
childhood- maybe cause it was too bad ( abuse, torcher)

10. Who is the Target Audience??
Age group: for this particular
horror genre the age group should
be 16 and up.
• Those people who likes scary
movies.
• Can take scary movies, blood, Why and how do I know??
violence.. Etc.
• Not old people who can get Because they like to enjoy being scared in
heart attack while watching the front of the TV, they like getting high blood
movie. pressure. Its always interesting by no one
knows the killer, it makes you watch the
movie. It is for age 16 mostly males are like
these movies.
I know this cause as a girl I love more
romantic or action movies. I do not like to be
scared. Girls mostly in my age would like this
movie its to much scary parts and its also
realistic it makes us be scared more.
