2. The Promotional Video: Creative
media course
We are hoping to create a punctual and interesting promotional video for the creative media
course in our own college which is the Cheadle campus of the Cheadle and Marple sixth form
college. We already have an idea of what we want the video to be like and this idea is
detailed more in the proposal but just as a brief summery we will be filming around the
college ICT rooms, plus filming a part of a creative media lesson (so that the viewers get a
taste of what the lesson is actually like). Then there will be a short interview with a present
creative media student who will be speaking about the course itself and how they feel about
it. Then there will be images shown of the college grounds such as the refectory and library
etc.

5. Budget
• The budget we have been given is £4,000. With this amount of money
we should easily make the video work.
• Hiring Equipment to film the video – When it comes to hiring
equipment there is only a certain amount of equipment that we
necessarily need such as:
‐ A Computer
‐ Camera
‐ Tripod
• There is no reason why we should go over budget – The reason for this
is that as we are making this video ourselves we don’t need paying and
there is the only cost of the equipment.

6. Personnel requirements cast and crew
• When looking at the personal requirements for the cast and crew we realised
how important there job role in making the premonition video. As a group we
will be we will be directing the making of the video, as there are three of us in
the group we will all be taking different job roles in making the video. The
different job roles that we will taking , setting the scene, filming, editing and
putting the video together.
• In the group we are going to be doing all the job roles together so that we get a
go at each different part in making the video.

Throughout the video we

transitions added to each
different page, we will
change the transitions
around as we don't want
the exact same one on
every page. We will also be
having music running
throughout the
background. We have
chosen the backing track to
be by metro station, their
song Shake it was a big hit a
few years back and by using
the instrumental it keeps
the video up beat.
