Fundamental of nursing is the art and science of nursing
care
The word nursing originated from the Latin word
“Nutricus” meaning to Nourish.
Nurse is a person who nourishes, fosters and protects or
giving care for sick, injured and aged people.

3. Nursing is the act of utilizing the environment of clients
to assist him/her in his/her recovery. (F. Nightingale)
Putting the patient in a best condition for nature to act up
on him.
Nursing is an art and a science that deals with prevention
of disease, care and treatment of the sick and
