2. Titles/Typography
Titles are sans serif and 3D which suggest that the film is
modern and up to date with technology.
The titles are shown with a background of a city which
establishes the setting of the film, titles are shown on buildings
which my hint to the audience that they may be an aspect of
the film.
3. Location And Setting
The titles are shown with a background of a city, which
establishes the setting and location being New York,
icon city landmarks have been included in the frame,
for example the empire state building so the audience
recognise this building and know where are film is set.
4. Sound
The non dialectic music which plays throughout the title
sequence starts off as slow low tone instruments then
speeds up the sound goes from soft to rough, the music
goes with the name ‘Panic Room’ as the music then starts
to speed up and a clock starts ticking which may also
relate to the narrative of the film involving time, for
example a bomb ticking.
