Leads the Spatial Data and Analytics Theme at IFPRI, managing a team of multidisciplinary backgrounds to work on geospatial data and modeling analysis for promoting food security and nutrition outcomes. Jawoo co-pioneered the CGIAR Platform for Big Data in Agriculture (2017-2022) that supports the data standardization, harmonization, interoperability, open-access/open-data, and the big data analytics in CGIAR centers and coordination with external technical partners. Jawoo co-led the HarvestChoice Program (2013-2016) and work on the biophysical modeling of smallholder farmers’ cropping systems in Africa South of Sahara.
