2. Age
In my original research I discovered that my target audience
would be teenagers and people aged 35-40. This is because
any people in the age group above would not be interested in
our film, and anyone below the teenager age group would not
like it as most thriller aren't aimed at children anyway.
3. Status
I believe that our target audience in terms of status would be
middle class people who live in a suburban place because of
the location of our film. This is because they may be able to
relate and come to reality that child disappearances can
happen in places where they live too, and it isn't just
something that happens on the News or happens in places of
poverty. The may realise that our film is trying to raise
awareness for people such as themselves with young
children, this is called audience identification.
4. Target audience development
As we have gone through the process and completed our
showcase, that the target audience has grown and changed
from the original one. Due to our audience interviews and
questionnaire answers I have come to the conclusion that
teenage girls and women may be more interested because
they gain an emotional attachment to the child and it may hit
home if they have children of their own. The fact that it is a
young boy that goes missing is unusual and makes them feel
sorry for him as he is portrayed as quite innocent. Families
may also be interested because they may be able to relate.
5. Income Bracket
I think the income bracket for our audience is fairly average
to high as our location is in a middle class location. We are
looking at people in the bracket B, C1 and E. Some
examples of people in these groups are white collars, middle
management, teachers, office supervisors and nurses. We
may even attract some students as people who go to
University are in our target audience age range.

6. Film Classification
As a group we have agreed on 15 as our film classification
because our target audience age range is teenagers all the
way up to 35-40 year olds. Younger people would not appeal
to thriller films so we feel we the age classification at 15 we
can have a bit more flexibility to the content we can include in
our film such as graphical scenes (if there is any).
