Add Squidoo lens to Technorati

http://pennybutler.com Squidoo blocks Technorati and other robots from crawling Squidoo RSS feeds through their robots.txt settings. However, you can use Google Feedburner to get past that. Here I show you step-by-step how to do it.

How to add your Squidoo Lens to Technorati

Step 1.) Publish Your Lens ,[object Object],So go create a lens on Squidoo, and then once it's published , come back here.

Step 2.) Find and Copy Public Lens URL ,[object Object],[object Object],For example, I would copy : http://www.squidoo.com/automaticwordpressplugins and paste it into Notepad .

Step 4.) Google Feedburner ,[object Object],So sign into Google Feedburner : http:// feedburner.google.com with your gmail/google account

Burn a Feed ,[object Object],[object Object],For example, I would paste in: http://www.squidoo.com/xml/syndicate_lens/automaticwordpressplugins and then click on Next .

Adjust Title and Unique Feedburner URL ,[object Object],[object Object]

Copy Feedburner URL ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

Notepad Check ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

Start a blog claim ,[object Object],For example, I would paste in: http://www.squidoo.com/automaticwordpressplugins

Details ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

Add your Lens description & category ,[object Object]

Technorati Claim Code ,[object Object],So in my example, I will copy the code " 3T5VZEFBRP29 " to notepad.

Step 6.) Back to Squidoo - Edit lens ,[object Object]

Paste Technorati code ,[object Object],Then click Save .

Publish Lens ,[object Object],Unfortunately, re-publishing your lens is not enough to update the feed, as Feedburner checks it's feeds every 30mins. What you need to do next, is "Ping" Feedburner manually to update your lens.

Step 7.) Ping Feedburner ,[object Object],For example, I would type in my Squidoo URL: http:// www.squidoo.com/automaticwordpressplugins Type in your " Public " Squidoo Lens URL.

Step 8.) Technorati Verify ,[object Object]

Delete Claim Code from Lens ,[object Object]

Wait for Technorati Review ,[object Object]
