2. A Monsoon in South Eastern Asia caused
severe flooding in India, Bangladesh,
Nepal and Bhutan on July 3 and August 15
2007. The Floods resulted in 30 million
people in these areas being affected.

3. A Monsoon is used to describe
seasonal reversals of wind
direction, caused by temperature
differences between land and sea.
The term Monsoon is commonly
used to refer to
torrential rain linked to winds.
Temperatures over land warmed forming an area of low
pressure around the Himalayas. The air is cooled over
the oceans creating areas of High Pressure.

4. The areas affected where all located in
South Asia.
Bangladesh was very
badly affected, 2/3rds of
the country was
submerged.
