1. Introduction My magazine is a British R’n’B music magazine. The task was to produce a music magazine that would be appealing to my target audience. My target audience is teenage females aged 15-20. My magazine represents teenagers that are female they would read my magazine to get all the information about the R’n’B Divas, the colours that I used to represent females is yellow, red and purple. It has a typical magazine name which also tells you what the genre is (R’n’B Divas) the main colours of my magazine are red because it is seen as a typical feminine colour, yel l ow and pur p le as they are seen as fun colour because of its high key appearance. Some R’n’B artists include Mariah Carey who is one of the biggest selling female artists of all time. Beyonce who is known as the queen of R’n’B and has won lots of music related awards and Britney Spears who is both R’n’B and Pop.

6. Who would your target audience be and why? My target audience is teenage females aged 15-20. I have chosen this because I am a teenager and can relate to my target audience as well as having my own interests in the R’n’B music genre. There is not a R’n’B magazine being published now for teenagers of that genre so I thought I would be original and design my own.
7. What kind of Media institution might distribute your music magazine and why? The media institution I would chose to distribute my music magazine is BBC. They have published popular magazines such as Radio times, Top Gear and Top of the Pops. I would like BBC magazines to publish my music magazine because of their knowledge for the niche magazine market, which was demonstrated when they distributed Top of the Pops magazine. This is a music magazine with a media mix for teenager which is the only magazine available of this kind.
8. How did you attract and address your audience? The Large text is visible from long distance, which enable the reader to see the magazine from far, the masthead is very large which makes it very noticeable so it can stand out from the other magazine. I have used ‘win two concert ticket include backstage passes inside’ as my pug this attracts the audience because the white blocked pug against the yellow background catches the readers attention as well as it being on the left third it can be seen when stacked on the shelves, also all teenagers love competitions as well as the thought of give aways. I have used a Top 5 Music chart to interest the reader and keep them updated. I have used a image contents page so you can see the image of your artist and quickly flick to the page which they are featured on. I have addressed my target audience immediately as I have used a 15 year old model, as I feel that the audience will be able to relate to her more than a famous model or singer who is 25 years old or more as they will have more things in common. By making my music magazine colourful it has attracted my target audience, teenage girls aged 15-20 years old. The bight colours help to make my magazine eye-catching as it catches your attention. I have used the colours red, yellow and purple as these are seen as typical feminine colours and are easily relatable.
9. What have you learned about technologies from the process of constructing this music magazine? (Lighting, photography, Photoshop, indesign) The first thing I had to do was create an account on blogger ( https://www.blogger.com/start ) I automatically gained the knowledge used for blogger and was able to upload images and videos to my blog. I had to use a professional Digital camera to take my pictures for my music magazine. I had to take lots of different images to give a variety to my magazine. Photoshop was used to edit the pictures , I removed the green screen, cropped and also changed the lighting to change the appearance of the image. At first it was difficult to use Photoshop but after the second time i had the knowledge to edit the images to how I wanted them to look. The last program I used was the most advanced it was called Indesign and was used to actually construct my music magazine. It is a new program that I have never used before, and found it very challenging to use, I have gained many skills like how to construct the magazine by transferring the edited images to indesign, inserting changing the appearance of the text.
