FACILITIES:
CLASS ROOMS:
The University has spacious, brightly lit, well ventilated and comfortable
classrooms with the capacity to accommodate 50 students each. Some of the
class rooms are also provided with PDPs to facilitate effective lecture
delivery. The class rooms are connected with the central networking system
from which they can receive almost six hundred television channels.


LANGUAGE LABS
The language labs are well equipped to enhance the students’ audiovisual abilities. In
addition, PDPs have also been provided to facilitate students taking help from the visual
programs related to their subject of study.


COMPUTER LABS
NUML has modern computing facilities with more than 300 workstations loaded with
latest operating systems and software packages. All the blocks are interconnected with
fiber optic cable and labs are switched with CAT 6 UTP Cable.

The university has modern communication devices which include Cisco Router 3700
series, Cisco Pix 525 Firewall and 3Com Managed switches (Distributed and Edged
switches). The internet facility at NUML is one of its prominent features. It has 2mb/s
internet connectivity for research purposes for students and faculty.


LIBRARY:
The two storied centrally air-conditioned Library provides 12 hours access to over 90,000
books periodicals and journals on various subjects.
UN REFERENCE LIBRARY:
Recently the United Nations System in Pakistan has set up a reference library with over
10, 000 titles on various subjects The library is open to all researchers and academicians
from across the country and abroad.


HOSTELS:
Three hostel buildings with dining rooms are available for a limited number of male
students coming from abroad and distant areas in Pakistan. The accommodation is
allocated on the basis of genuine need. One hostel complex for foreign students has been
completed and the second is under construction.
TRANSPORT:
A large fleet of vehicles provides morning/evening commuting facilities to key points in
Rawalpindi and Islamabad at nominal charges. The transport fee once deposited is not
refundable or transferable.


HEALTH FACILITIES:
A well equipped Medical Emergency Room provides health facilities to the staff and
students.


CAFETERIA:
A modern double storied cafeteria caters to the refreshment needs of students, staff and
faculty.


MOSQUE:
The university has a mosque at the main campus which facilitates faculty, staff and
students.


PUBLICATION SECTION:

BOOK BANK AND MATERIAL REPRODUCTION:
The university Book Bank provides syllabus books on most economical prices. The
reproduction section is equipped with modern high tech photocopying services and allied
facilities.
RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION CELL:
The section is engaged in editorial work for the University's publications, in the planning
and production of study material and in the designing of testing procedures.


AUDITORIUM:
Three air conditioned auditoriums with technical equipment are available, where different
curricular and extra curricular activities are held.

  • 9. FACILITIES: CLASS ROOMS: The University has spacious, brightly lit, well ventilated and comfortable classrooms with the capacity to accommodate 50 students each. Some of the class rooms are also provided with PDPs to facilitate effective lecture delivery. The class rooms are connected with the central networking system from which they can receive almost six hundred television channels. LANGUAGE LABS The language labs are well equipped to enhance the students’ audiovisual abilities. In addition, PDPs have also been provided to facilitate students taking help from the visual programs related to their subject of study. COMPUTER LABS NUML has modern computing facilities with more than 300 workstations loaded with latest operating systems and software packages. All the blocks are interconnected with fiber optic cable and labs are switched with CAT 6 UTP Cable. The university has modern communication devices which include Cisco Router 3700 series, Cisco Pix 525 Firewall and 3Com Managed switches (Distributed and Edged switches). The internet facility at NUML is one of its prominent features. It has 2mb/s internet connectivity for research purposes for students and faculty. LIBRARY: The two storied centrally air-conditioned Library provides 12 hours access to over 90,000 books periodicals and journals on various subjects. UN REFERENCE LIBRARY: Recently the United Nations System in Pakistan has set up a reference library with over 10, 000 titles on various subjects The library is open to all researchers and academicians from across the country and abroad. HOSTELS: Three hostel buildings with dining rooms are available for a limited number of male students coming from abroad and distant areas in Pakistan. The accommodation is allocated on the basis of genuine need. One hostel complex for foreign students has been completed and the second is under construction.
  • 10. TRANSPORT: A large fleet of vehicles provides morning/evening commuting facilities to key points in Rawalpindi and Islamabad at nominal charges. The transport fee once deposited is not refundable or transferable. HEALTH FACILITIES: A well equipped Medical Emergency Room provides health facilities to the staff and students. CAFETERIA: A modern double storied cafeteria caters to the refreshment needs of students, staff and faculty. MOSQUE: The university has a mosque at the main campus which facilitates faculty, staff and students. PUBLICATION SECTION: BOOK BANK AND MATERIAL REPRODUCTION: The university Book Bank provides syllabus books on most economical prices. The reproduction section is equipped with modern high tech photocopying services and allied facilities. RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION CELL: The section is engaged in editorial work for the University's publications, in the planning and production of study material and in the designing of testing procedures. AUDITORIUM: Three air conditioned auditoriums with technical equipment are available, where different curricular and extra curricular activities are held.
